Post-Deposit Requirements
Once you have submitted your full seat deposit or signed a binding commitment form, you must complete the following requirements prior to your matriculation in August:
1. Attend a Cost of Attendance 202 Virtual Session
Virtual sessions coming soon.
2. Undergraduate Transcript Requirement: (Due: July 1, 2025)
If you have not already done so, you must have an official copy of your final undergraduate transcript sent directly to LSAC. Please ensure that your transcript shows the conferral of your undergraduate degree. Your final official undergraduate transcript must accompany your law school application before it is archived by the Admissions Office. A complete, final official transcript must be received in order to finalize your Admissions file. This is a requirement of the American Bar Association (ABA). If your final official transcript is not received, a registration hold will be placed on your account.
3. Immunization Requirement: (Due: July 1, 2025)
All matriculating students who will be under the age 26 as of July 1, 2025 must submit their immunization records directly to Student Health Services. Please note that although the Student Health Center website shows the deadline as June 15, as an incoming law student, your deadline has been extended to July 1.
Note: A GW email address (@gwu.edu) is required in order to access the medical portal. You will be granted access to your university email (@gwu.edu) in late June. In the meantime, we encourage you to use this time to prepare your immunization documents so that you'll be ready to submit them as soon as you have access to the medical portal.

Bar Admission Considerations
As you know, you are entering a profession that will empower you to serve others and is governed by a code of ethics. Upon completion of your legal education, you will take the next step of seeking admission to the bar in the state or states in which you intend to practice. Gaining bar admission not only involves passing a written examination but also passing a character and fitness review. Please note that bar admission requirements vary from state to state. Prior to beginning law school, you should obtain information regarding the character, fitness, and other qualifications for bar admission in the state or states in which you intend to practice.
