Our students take 1L classes within six designated cohorts, which we call the Inns of Court. Each Inn serves as a home base, providing support as students become acclimated to law school as well as a range of programming designed to help students build the individual career paths best suited to them.

Through the Inns of Court programming, students can receive mentorship from upperclass students, can determine their individual career preferences, and gain convenient access to staff and faculty from all segments of the law school. In addition, students benefit from one-on-one, substantive interaction with practicing attorneys—and, therefore, potential employers—as they prepare for informational interviews or explore the non-legal skills needed for successful practice.

The Inns offer a wide range of seminars designed to help students build not just successful careers but successful lives. This programming, from mindfulness and resilience training for lawyers, to informational interview practice, is designed to help students take a holistic view of their lives. We not only focus on examination of the law, but on helping each student find his or her place within it. Through this exploration, students can make more informed and satisfying career choices.
